The Internet Makes a Difference. Sometimes the difference can be unpleasant (spam, phishing, fraud, other internet crime and having one's computer slow to a crawl through infection with worms, trojans and other malware) and sometimes supportive (being able to keep in contact with six times as many people using email compared with snail mail, buying things you always wanted and could never get hold of, doing your shopping without the hassle of travel, driving, parking and all the rest, looking up things you need to know in the twinkling of an eye with Google and the other search engines...).

The aim of InternetPower.Org is to Make a Positive Difference.

If there's one thing that is not progress, it's when a favourite, useful website gets revamped, and the new website looks very glossy but is actually less useful than the previous version.

This happened with the BBC Radio 4 website recently. On the old version, you could see the currrent programme and the next two. The new version shows the current programme only, and if you click an option to show more, the next one only. To see more than that, you have to go to the Schedule and scroll through it to find what you want. Tedious...

So our Engineering Dept. have come up with this gizmo which shows you the current programme and the next 5 programmes on BBC Radio 4. The information shown is of course copyright BBC.
